Today we worked on looking at databases and creating an analysis on how to we would solve our problem. We thought looking at how to work databases would help us understand and create a better design and found a useful layout to use that has reduced a lot of design time.

Daniel and I worked on going through the tutorial learning diffrent features about the Access Program and are now up to Chapter 3 of the tutorial it was very easy to understand and we now know how to work the basic features of Access and how to make queries to find information quicker. I am finding the tutorial the best way to learn about databases as it shows the information clearly and shows useful features for the SAC.

Daniel and I worked on finishing the tutorial today we got up to chapter 8 and we worked out how to make Forms, Reports,and how to edit and create buttons quicker. We are almost finished chapter 8 and should be able to work on the canteen problem soon i believe I have extended my knowledge of databases and am confident for the SAC.

Daniel and I worked on finishinhg the tutorial it was intresting the diffrent features we learnt to use and we are now working on making a school canteen database.

Today we just did the last preperation on preparing for our sac i am confident that it will be easy i hope it is anyways. We did not encounter any problems but it good just do go over the main functions again.
PROGRAMMING 23.06.09 Today we started our first assesment for our task for programming. I have done programming before in Gamemaker and feel confident that i can complete the task easily. I am thinkign of creatign a maths adventure game that will appeal to grade 4 students. I really dont like the idea of workign in a group as it is very hard to develop ideas and design a plan as nearly all my group has little knowlegde of game maker and its features.

Today i continued on my gamemaker game now that all the coding is done i can now start working on completing the levels. I need to learn how to create more monsters as my game lacks much of a challenge. I have been troubleshooting with most of the codes but the tutorials are very helpful and they have saved me alot of time. I tried to make a score board but it seemed to keep stuffing up so i had to rethink my idea a little. I got feedback from Daniel and Emma and they have helped me change some of the bugs in my game. I believe i have made great use of my time and I believe i was able to work without distractions.

I just continued to complete levels today and make sure that all the bugs for the levels have been fixed. I had to rethink ways of programming some of the objects but again the tutorial was helpful. Progress on my game is good should be finished before end project date.

Today i completed alot of trouble shooting for my game I was able to complete all the programming for the monsters and was finnaly able to start really completing some levels. Progress is good and i should be able to finish the game in the set time limit. On the weekend for homework I was able to collect some information ioon criteria for game designers and I should be able to complete the report over the weekend. All that is left is the testing sheet which i will complete at the same time as the report.

Game almost complete progress has been really good now all the objects are working. All that is left is report and feedback. Iam really happy with the game and have tested it several times for glitches. I will see if i can finish it off tonight.30.07.09Game Complete! i had Daniel test my game today for a final test and we were able to find some glitches that were easily fixed. I have started the feedback sheet and should be finished everything very soon.

We had the grade 3/4 come over today to test our games. At first they were hesitant to play my game but after a while they started to become interested and i had many students who played my game with some really good feedback. I will have to fix these before the game is sent to their school. I was really happy that people were saying my game was really good and I'm appreciative of the feedback.
